You lock yourself in silence

as you stare across the room

holding your soul captive

with the worries of the day

 

Know now and for always

that there is another way

by searching deep within

for truths that are there

you can lift your spirit higher

making it dance in the air

 

Happiness is a treasure

one must but seek to find

with value immeasurable

no matter the invested cost

 

Our hearts hold the keys

our minds keep the locks

by bringing them together

we open the doors wide

and release all the passion

and love that's inside

 

With purpose in our spirit

and all things set aside

we open up the portals

to the strengths that are there

and labor with reason

to release with a glory

the vast wisdom tide

 

All the ancient knowledge

in all the ancient books

will never give you what you need

unless you learn to see

written in the minds of all

on spirit paper frayed

are answers to all questions

yet we never stop to look

 

Search within and look real deep

the answers all are there

hidden in the corners

yet plainly within our view

the happiness we search for so

is right within our grasp

it is nestled with our spirit

it carries with us always

our mind the only hasp
