This is truly my favorite part of the website. I love to cook and share my recipes and it seems others do as well. I expect this section continue to grow and change constantly!

I called this the Kitchen because when I was growing up it seemed that everyone eventually ended up in the kitchen at home. We sat around and ate and drank and talked. We played games, worked on our homework, drew pictures, played games, had heartfelt talks with mom and practically lived our lives in this one special room. It has ALWAYS been my favorite room in the house and continues to be so today. 

In this day and age, when things are so crazy everywhere, I think the most important thing one can do is make sure their home is their sanctuary. Home should be a place where, no matter what is going on in the world, a person can come home, sit down, relax, unwind, eat, drink and be merry. One should ensure their home is a place they always want to be. It is our safe place, our private place, the place where we house our lives. It should be special, warm, inviting, and filled with things that make us happy.

Someone once told me when you are broke and can't afford all the trappings of this world that you should make sure you have a nice home - that way you won't hate it when you can't afford to go anywhere.  I found this to be excellent advice and strive to make my home a sanctuary that will enable me to always enjoy life at it's simplest level.

Well, this page was supposed to be dedicated to featured Home & Garden items, but that whole concept has taken on a life of it's own!  :) I will be moving everything to another section when I find the time so you can participate and share your favorite recipes and tips as well. In the mean time here's a sneak preview of my Kitchen Korner (a school project closely related to my secret passion of cooking!). :)
